Hi there!
The second person I got to know better is
crochetamommy! I only met her, because I started to join groups about knitting and crocheting.
So, who is she?
She’s been a member since 4 years now and is very creative. There‘s so much going on in her gallery! She knits, crochets, draws and does cross stitch.
The work of an artist tells much about the artist themselves, although that’s not always the case. And it can't tell you everything.
She also does photosgraphy, origami and quill art.
Crochetamommy, or Hazel, is the mother of a youg boy. She stays w at home with him and is only 29 years old, which is hard to believe. That she could've done so many things, in such a short lifetime... I respect her for managing her life, finding time for her son and doing the things she likes.
Of course I’m far away. I can’t yet know the "real" her, can't know what her days are like. What I do know though, is that she’s a very friendly person.
First time I saw her here on deviantArt was because of this little guy:
I’m always on the search for patterns, so I left a comment on this one. She replied kindly and I took a closer look to her gallery. (You see, that’s the greatest mistake you can ever make: answer me in a way that I can talk with you even more! )
She improved her ladybug a bit:
We talked a bit more and after a while, I decided to ask her to review my blog and I would make one of hers. This way, we would connect our two blogs. Her blog can be found here: crochetamommy.blogspot.com/
Perhaps it’s a weird idea, but I don’t like all the lists full of “friends” and people/blogs/sites you like. What does it say about you and the people in those lists? Alone, by themselves, their icons don't say very much. The moment you take the time and write about them, they become more. You get a better picture about the person behind the blog. And there’s no rule that you have to stay close with this person, it’s your choice.
We read each others review, corrected a few things and then decided to post the entries at the same day. It was really fun and I wish I could do that again with someone whose Blog I like.
Hazel is a really kind person.
I also found her on Ravelry and now I own a few pattern of her, like the ladybug or this lovely flower bookmark, she gave to me.
Two presents from her in such a short time.
Her newest work is this one here:
Recently I asked her to look over a pattern I made, so… We’re still in touch. She answered and it's always a nice time talking to her.
Have a wonderful day!
